Outside Call Menu Requiring Users to Dial Star as Option


We have a client that dials a few outside companies very frequently (insurance companies). During the call they are required to hit star as one of the menu options. After they dial star it tries toggling one of the internal call functions.

Any suggestions on what I could do fix this?


Apologies for the confusion. This is users are dialing another company’s phone system (like when you call the electric company and navigate through their IVR). Its then that they are presented with the option to hit star.


Change the feature code for in-call recording from *1 to something else. You might have to change In call attended transfer as well.
