Outgoing call history not being maintained

System setup. FreePBX, Yealink T42G phones.

When we make a outgoing call it will show calling followed by the number you are calling. When the person answers the phone the display changes to CID: (my number). So if you want to call the person back you cannot go to history and redial the number. If the person does not answer the call then the number in history will stay the same as you dialed.
