Using SQL to update Outbound Caller ID. Database looks like everthing is populating correctly but outbound caller ID still displays the default outbound Trunk CID. Used fwconsole to apply changes. But actual change does not take effect untill I press submit and apply config from the Web admin GUI on the extension.
The outbound caller ID is set in the persistent astdb database. You need to update that before your CID will get updated.
so should I still do the fwconsole?
You don’t really need to do anything to the system once the astdb entries are updated, but you are going to want to use fwconsole to update the database, so, probably.
