Over the past few weeks I have noticed the site has been unavailable. Sometimes I have encountered a Drupal mySQL server unavailable message, other times the site just fails to load - yet the IP address responds to pings.
Is this something on my end, or are there known issues?
I had the same issue today. But now all seems fine.

there have been two outages that required the server to be restarted. This morning and on July 5th. Prior to that it has been up for a long time (don’t recall the last outage).
In both cases it looked like the system was thrashing, having run out of swap.
We are investigating to see if we can determine a root cause for the issue. It’s had this issue in the past as well though it is fairly infrequent.
