On-Demand call recording doesn't work

Hi,

On-demand call recording doesn’t work for me. I use Linksys SPA 941 and Aastra 57i, and both of their DTMF works well outbound and internally.

Using the PIAF distro, with Asterisk 1.4.21.2 (the last stable version that works with zaptel).
Recording set to “Always” works. But on-demand doesn’t. I see DTMF in console, so I know DTMF is working.

*2, ** doesn’t work either by their default. ## works well.
So, I’m stumped. I even did a fresh install to make sure. And yes, the General Settings has wW for Outbound Dial.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try adding:
featuredigittimeout=1500
to the file features_general_custom.conf in your /etc/asterisk directory.

Thanks, but that seemed to fix *2. *1 and ** still don’t work. :S

check that the dialplan for the phone and linksys box allow for that key combination. IF the local phone dialplan is not configured to allow it through it will not…

I don’t really know how to work/re-work dialplans on the phones, but here they are:
Aastra 57i: x+#|xx+*

Linksys 941: (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
