Numerious Errors due to Certificate Manager update failure

amportal a ma delete certman
amportal a ma delete webrtc
amportal a r

Please summarize the strategy associated with the steps above. What is the expected result?

You won’t have white screens anymore when trying to do other tasks.

So you are saying that, pending a fix to the original update issue, you recommend disabling certman, and by the way, you also need to disable wrbrtc. This will avoid the errors resulting from the issue.

amportal a ma delete certman amportal a ma delete webrtc amportal a r

Doesn’t seem to work:

[root@localhost ~]# amportal a ma delete certman

Fetching FreePBX settings with gen_amp_conf.php…

The following error(s) occured:

  • Cannot disable: The following modules depend on this one: webrtc
    [root@localhost ~]# amportal a ma delete webrtc

Fetching FreePBX settings with gen_amp_conf.php…

The following error(s) occured:

  • Failed to run un-installation scripts
    [root@localhost ~]#

Run the commands again.

The fix has already been applied. Last week in fact. You specifically asked “Does this need to be re-posted as a bug?”. I am now walking you through how to fix this.

amportal a ma delete webrtc
amportal a ma delete certman
amportal a r

Did you notice that I was unsuccessful at executing those commands?

Just tried again:

[root@localhost ~]# amportal a ma delete webrtc

Fetching FreePBX settings with gen_amp_conf.php…

Module webrtc successfully deleted
[root@localhost ~]# amportal a ma delete certman

Fetching FreePBX settings with gen_amp_conf.php…

The following error(s) occured:

  • Failed to run un-installation scripts

Looks like they ran fine to me. Do we really need to argue about this or can you please just humor us and run the commands and do our walk-throughs.

rm -Rf /var/www/html/admin/modules/certman
[root@localhost ~]# rm -Rf /var/www/html/admin/modules/certman [root@localhost ~]#
amportal a r

Then everything should work

Seems to be working. Thanks

Hi,
I was experiencing the above problem and have followed the instructions above, when I go to install the certman module I get the following issue:

amportal a ma upgrade certman

Fetching FreePBX settings with gen_amp_conf.php…

No Certificates exist
Generating default CA…Install error! Error Generating Certificate: unable to load Private Key

Unable to install module certman:

  • Failed to run installation scripts

I also get the same error if I do amportal a ma install certman

Can anyone make any suggestions of what to try next?

Thanks

Michael

Any further tips?

Thanks

Michael

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone had any further ideas? The module is now disabled and webrtc is too.

Thanks

Michael

Do you need to use them?

No not at the moment, this is my test system, but I like to know how to fix things before I do things to my live PBX. Admittedly in this case it isn’t the end of the world, just keen to learn more and pass on the knowledge!

Thanks

Michael

Hi, I have the same problem today.

Tried to update the modules for my system and it showed that

Certificate Manager 12.0.5 Stable Sangoma Technologies Corporation AGPLv3+ Disabled; Pending Upgrade to 12.0.6

I tried the above instructions and ran

amportal a ma delete webrtc
amportal a ma delete certman
amportal a r

I then tried

rm -Rf /var/www/html/admin/modules/certman

Now when I run the command line install, I get:

[root@FreePBX ~]# amportal a ma install certman

Fetching FreePBX settings with gen_amp_conf.php..

No Certificates exist
Generating default CA...Install error! Error Generating Certificate: unable to load Private Key
3077895916:error:06065064:digital envelope routines:EVP_DecryptFinal_ex:bad decrypt:evp_enc.c:596:
3077895916:error:0906A065:PEM routines:PEM_do_header:bad decrypt:pem_lib.c:483:

Unable to install module certman:
 - Failed to run installation scripts

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks, Ross

We have no suggestions at this time. If you are willing to allow us to connect to your system please send with myself or @xrobau a pm
