I have opened MySQL for specific server IP’s on freepbx and I am getting hits on the server on 3306 from those IP’s but not able to login via the user credentials. but from the local host I am able to login via the same credentials.
The default sql account on the distro is locked to localhost. Best to create another sql user for your purposes and secure it appropriately than to relax restrictions on the account created by fpbx.
I have already did this for external IP. created a new user with access privileges on the databases and can connect via the localhost via same user credentials but not from the External IP.
However, when I telnet from that IP it’s connecting on the port 3306.
