Nortel 1120e / 1140e and intercom

One of our sites has several hundred 1120e and 1140e’s. I’ve been able to change their firmware from UNISTIM to SIP and have been able to create configuration files and have been able to successfully manually provision them on a FreePBX system. The phones are registered, able to place and receive calls. The only function that we use that I can’t seam to get working is auto-answer/intercom. When an intercom call is placed, it causes the nortel phone to lockup.

Anyone have any experience with these phones and been able to get intercom working on them?
