Non member anymore, but still ringing when a queue is called

Hi Everyone,

I am having an issue with an extension number that keeps on ringing when a queue is called. This member WAS a part of that queue before, but has been taken off already.

Already issued
asterisk -rx ‘queue remove member Local/6314@from-queue/n from 6392’

  • was successful in removing it,

when i view and verify it’s membership via
asterisk -rx “queue show 6392”
-the ext# is no longer shown.

-i have already reset the Cisco7940 a couple of times
-made sure that cnf are correct(though far related to the SIPXXXXXXXXX.cnf)
-ensured that there is no followme associated with the ext 6314

-but it is still ringing

Sorry guys, i am new to this… Any helpful advise is appreciated.

Thanks!

How was the phone added to the queue?

BF

Thanks for the reply!

I am not sure if I am answering you correctly, but we have FreePBX.

We have about 5-7 extensions listed in the 6392 queue, and all of them are working fine. I tried adding another extension 6339 in that list, and it worked fine. Then i tried removing 6339 from the queue again, and the 6339 doesn’t ring when the queue 6392 is called.

Currently we have this,
6342,0
6324,0
6352,0
6341,0
6366,0
6338,0

By the way, after doing TS, we found that it wasn’t with the Queue Problem.
We found that all calls coming into 6341 is also coming in to 6314.

We made sure that there is no FollowMe or Forwarding on the 6341. As in nothing.

But still the 6314 is ringing when someone calls 6341. The SIP configs are also verified to be correct, and different from one another.

If I disconnect 6314 from the network, and i dial 6341, the 6341 still rings…

What happens when you call 6314?

when the 6314 phone is connected to the network, it rings when called.
if the 6314 phone is disconnected, gives the voicemail… which is normal

when the 6314 phone is connected to the network, it rings when 6314 is also called.
if the 6314 phone is disconnected, gives the voicemail… which is normal

if 6314 is dialed, the 6341 DOESNT RING. which is fine.

So logs would go a long way to help here. Post a call to 6341 also coming in to 6314.

What version of FreePBX are you running? Is it a FreePBX Distro downloaded from this site, or is it built by hand or is it a different distro (loke PBX in a flash) that uses the FreePBX GUI?
