No incoming calls - Viatalk

Newbie here - I’ve spent the better part of the last 48 hours looking through documentation and cannot seem to lick this issue. I cal call out, the “dash board” shows “IP Phone Onlie - 1”, “IP TRUNNKS ONLINE - 1”, “IP REGISTRATIONS - 1”.

I am running 2.6.0.0, upgraded all modules, and setup the SIP under TOOLS according to the VIATALK website:

[general]
context=default
bindport=5060
port=5060
bindaddr=0.0.0.0
recordhistory=yes
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=gsm
trustrpid=yes
sendrpid=yes
dtmfmode=inband
relaxdtmf=yes
realm=asterisk

Obviously REGISTRATION is correct otherwise I could not call out… but here it is anyway (XXXX entered for my personal info)

; REGISTRATION
register => 1513XXXXXXX:[email protected]/1513XXXXXXX

; TRUNK CONFIGURATION
[viatalk]
type=friend
authuser=1513XXXXXXX
username=1513XXXXXXX
fromuser=1513XXXXXXX
fromdomain=chicago-1a.vtnoc.net
host=chicago-1a.vtnoc.net
secret=xxxxxxxx
insecure=very
qualify=3600
nat=no ; switch to yes if behind nat (try to avoid it if at all possible)

Now, I have read in several places to DELETE everything on incoming…

Can anyone give me a hand here please? I am at a point that I cannot seem to pass.

I have resolved the issue and I now receive incoming calls. Now another issue— on the caller end, they only get one ring. Any help?

how did you resolved the issue?

Sorry, I should have posted.

It seems that VIATALK needs the config in a specific order or it will not allow the inbound. I had to add in the SIP.CONF all the general commands, and in the specific order.

What version of FreePBX and Asterisk are you running?

You can’t edit the config files by hand in FreePBX, must use trunk tool.

It looks like you are using Asterisk bare bones as these trunks would not work with FreePBX.

These tips would be very confusing to a user searching the forum.
