awesome that seems to have worked! its running the updates now, but I can get into the GUI.
it came back with a bunch of broken modules and a upgradeall returned with a Unable to locate the FreePBX BMO Class error. im going through them all now. thank you so much for your help :).
and yes FreePBX needs to know because it was not on the list of depreciated modules.
