Nice to know (way to initiate conference call)

basic set-up for an Asterisk conference is that anyone who want’s to join to a conference will have to dial a particular number (the conference number) just to join. Now here’s the thing.

Is there a way that the Asterisk user will be the one to call or initiate a conference (call out) so that participants will not dial a number for a meetme room. Of course if you want to form a conference you’re the one to initiate (right?).

You would have to just call the party and transfer them into the conference andthen join them there, you can not call out from a conf room

You could use .call files or a php gui to call them and invite / dump them to a conf call
