I want to say upfront. I am a Linux newbie. Trying to learn as I love it so far. I have been using Trixbox for a while and wanted to get my feet wet to try install the lastest and greatest on my own. So I have been working out bugs, installing a reinstalling to try to learn. I have several issues that I cant solve so I will post them one at a time so I can resolve each issue separtly if that works better.
I have installed the following on Ubuntu 7.10 Server: asterisk 1.4.13 zaptel 1.4.6, lbpri 1.4.2, addons 1.4.4 and FreePBX 2.3.1. I am not using any zap hardware. Asterisk is running and appears to be fine. I have Instlalled FreePBX and think this is where my problems are:
For some reason I cant get the asterisk CLI more. I click on it in FreePBX and type a code and I get the message “Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk.ctl exist?)”. So I tried it in the command line asterisk -r and I get the same thing.
Any ideas what is wrong? Thanks any help would be great.
