Newbie asking for Info

Greetings to all,

I have general questions. I do not have any system installed and don’t know much about PBX and FreePBX.
I am swamped with telco calls and cannot stand it anymore. I am sure I am not the only one. Would any appliance running FreePBX enable to stop those calls via a blacklist? Anyone has done such an installation and wouldn’t mind sharing ? What kind of machine would I need ? Is for example a ‘Rasberry Pie’ equipped to handle FreePBX ?
Any compatibility issues I should be aware of with FreePBX and RTC network ?

I have been strolling the internet for a solution that would enable to filter my calls and FreePBX seems to the best suited for that type of use: But I wouldn’t mind any advices and suggestions from those who have done it already :slight_smile:

Asterisk has a core function to blacklist numbers, FreePBX has a module to use/set it, the module is part of “feature codes” and it’s use is documented in the wiki.

Google for Raspberry PBX and you might be amazed by how easy it is, google still works!!
