Newb + New Install =?

Thank you for you time. I recently installed from the pbxinaflash20644-x86_64 distro on a dedicated piece of hardware. I have two issues that I am unable to resolve after an hour of tinkering and a half an hour of browsing the forums. The first issue is an error showing up in the FreePBX Notices Area as follows:

retrieve_conf failed to sym link: /etc/asterisk/udptl.conf from core/etc (Already exists, not a link) This can result in FATAL failures to your PBX. If the target file exists and not identical, the symlink will not occur and you should rename the target file to allow the automatic sym link to occur and remove this error, unless this is an intentional customization. Added 30 minutes ago (retrieve_conf.SYMLINK)

The other problem, and I do not know if it is related in some way, is that I constantly show being disconnected from my Google Voice (Motif) account. I have made sure the password is correct and that I am not logged on to that account anywhere else. Further, I followed all of the steps outlined in the Nerd Vittles postings.

Bottom line? I cannot route between extensions nor can I route calls in or out via Google Voice. I can dial into the PBX from Yate and from my Cisco 7940 phone.

Hi, regarding the Error your system is experiencing you may find useful to read this thread.

Regarding disconnection from Google Voice without relevant logs (and/or other specific information about your setup) I think nobody will be able to help you effectively.

Thank you - first problem solved. The following error in the full log file is appearing every few seconds. Perhaps this might point to the Google problem?

Those Notices, Errors and Warnings are quite commons (I have them too) and, it seems, are non blocking.

Regarding Google Voice issues I’m not able to help you because I don’t use that service on my system but I think to figure out you should examine your configuration and see Asterisk logs (or whatever related to Google Voice module) while the issue happens.
