New to voip and have a question about self hosted freepbx

Hello,

I just setup a freepbx server on vultr.com and am able to login.
Now if setup a sip account on say flowroute, is all I have to do is add the correct account info and sip info then add a phone to the freepbx and I should be able to make and receive calls? I have a poe switch that I will use to connect the phone to switch and switch to router.
Am I missing anything?

Seems a good starter plan. Enjoy.

Interface through Flowroute will be through a Trunk and then through incoming and Outgoing routes. You’ll set up your phones through Extensions.

What are some other good sip providers other then flowroute that are recommended?
