Network Interface not rresponding

Hi,
i have installed FreePBX 14 on one VM, while the first step of the Centos Installation i have setup the IP address, Gateway, and DNS, the installation went well accessing the cli was successful using root.

BUT, the interface is not active, the IP address still exist in the configuration file, then i run several times the following command

ip link dev eth0 up

but without luck, still there is no ping while the host is fine can ping to the gateway.

any help
