Hello my pickup calls funcion doesn´t work.
I have already put all extensions in the same call group and the same pickup group, and still doesn´t work.
I have also try to change de pickup feature code *8 to other one and still doesn´t work.
I have already reeboot my server after all changes and still doesn´t work.
I´m an Help Desk supervisor, and i realy need to make it works
Can somebody help me please
Thanks in advance.
As far as I know the call pickup is ** not *8
Check out your feature codes list to verify how yours is set
Check your dial plan one you phone. There are two pickup codes ** and *8… ** is directed call pickup. That’s is what I use
I have already tried to use that code ** but it still not working
Just so we’re clear **extension is directed call pickup. ** by itself doesn’t do anything and times out in like a half second.
So how can i make pickuo calls work?
on my featured codes i have defined *8 as a pickup code, and ir doesn´t work.
I have also tried some other codes like *3, *00, and still not working
When u go to a phone and use **301
(replace 301 with your extension number that you would like to pickup the call while it is ringing)
What happens? What is the result?
Well i have tried to use ** replacing the 301 with the extencion that i want to pickup the call, and doesn´t work.
The call still ring in the other extencion and my phone gets ocuppied signal
What phones are you using and what dial plan is configured on tue phones
The phones i’m using are ELGIN - Model HST-6000 and the dial plan that i’m using is the default of FreePBX
I didn´t make any changes to the dial plan, i’m using the default of Free PBX
What is the dial plan set to currently
I have no Dial plan configured. The way as i get the FreePBX …the way that i´m using
Login to the GUI of the phone and see what the dial plan is. And look in EPM under the template and we what the dial plan is.
i have made the comand " dialplan show global" and thats the result:
localhost*CLI> dialplan show globals
i have also find the following information
Asterisk System uptime: 6 days, 20 hours, 30 seconds
Last reload: 29 minutes, 34 seconds
Active SIP Channel(s): 4 Active IAX2 Channel(s): 0
Sip Registry: 5 IAX2 Registry: 1
Offline-Unmonitored: 0 IAX2 Peers:
if that was not the information you need, please explain me how to get it.
I have already spoked with the person who install the FreePBX and he told me that he never configures any DialPlan
In the advanced settings of each extension did you put them in the same call group and pickup group?
yes and still not working, i´m thinking that the problem could be on the Asterisk and not on the FreePBX interface.
You’ve been looking at the /var/log/asterisk/full file to see what the system is actually doing when you try to do this, right?
I have tried to see…but the file is GIANT…i will keep looking at the file…
