My 1.8 Install has no SIP

I just finished installing 1.8 and it installed to suprrise w/ out SIP.
pbxCLI> core show sip
No such command ‘core show sip’ (type ‘core show help core show sip’ for other possible commands)
pbxCLI>

Is that possible? And if so how to i get SIP started or installed?

I am at a total loss here, and dont know where to turn.

This doesn’t mean you don’t have sip. It means chan_sip.so is not loaded. This may be due to a config error.
try

module unload chan_sip.so
module load chan_sip.so

then look in /var/log/asterisk/full
