Music on Hold only http and not https?

All,

There is something I do not understand, hopefully some of you can shine a light on this.
I created two music on hold streams. Both http although one gets eventually redirected to https. The http stream works as expected, although the one redirected to https does not. I get a nice silence LOL.

The application I use is “/usr/bin/mpg123 -q -r 8000 -f 8192 -b 1024 --mono -s http://stream.bnr.nl/bnr_mp3_128_20” (this stream gets redirected to “https://27873.live.streamtheworld.com/BNR_NIEUWSRADIO.mp3?dist=other

Can anybody explain this? And is there something I can do about it, or am i stuck to http?

TIA,
Arjan

And what happens when you use the actual HTTPS url you’re redirected to?

Then I get silence LOL
I did some digging, I now have the impression that mpg123 does not support https. At least my version does not (version 1.25.10)
On the website of mpg123 (https://www.mpg123.de/) the latest version seems to be 1.32.10
I however have the original rspbx image which is really old (buster). Therefore I have some issues upgrading.

Have to figure out what the best/easiest way of going forward is. Digging into apt and figure out how to upgrade or do a new fresh install with the latest image, add asterisk and then add freepbx.

I think simple upgrade is my favorite.

Any thoughts …

Arjan
