Multiple problems "asterisk not running" and "Extensions link disabled"

OK so I installed trixbox 2.6.2.2 from an ISO CD first time today
Worked whole day to get it to work no luck

Go to Admin GUI
click PBX -> PBX Settings

Under
Server Status
Asterisk ERROR
OpPanel Warn
MySQL OK
Web Server OK
SSH Server Warn

Claims asterisk, Op Panel, SSH Server are not running

Well I can login to ssh
And can see asterisk is running
also can connect asterisk -r

My problem is the GUI does not allow me to add extensions seems like link is disabled

You’ll not like the answer but we highly recommend that you use the trixbox forums for support. Reasons are simple. They “forked” FreePBX and then went about making changes without providing back to the FreePBX development team those changes. So we don’t know what they are doing and why. Then they thought they would be cute and change the version numbering system FreePBX uses for modules and took everything labeled as 2.5 to 5.5 so that you can’t use the good tested FreePBX stuff. Lastly you are using there own tweaked modules mirror site so we have no control over anything.

Due to those changes you’ll not find support for trixbox here. Specially for the forked stuff.

I personally recommend the following “ISO” installs (sorted alphabetically):
Asterisknow (http://www.asterisknow.com/)
Fonicaprojects (http://www.fonicaprojects.com/wordpress/)
PBX in a Flash (http://pbxinaflash.com/)

I would not recommend Trixbox at any time, not even to my worst enemy.

Appreciate your help, I’ll try Asterisknow and let you know how it goes.

Although I am not as nice as you, after my experience with trixbox I might recommend to some chosen enimies :slight_smile:

If you are using AsteriskNow, make sure you get the 1.5 beta as that is the only one with FreePBX.

I see that 1.5.0 is released any challenges with that?
