Ok maybe that is a bit of hyperbole but people seem confused about the whole module signing thing. Signing has been a thing in the open source world for a long time. If you have used Linux (let’s assume you have) then you have installed a signed package. One of our developers @xrobau has put together a page about signing that should clear things up a bit.
