# modprobe wctdm24xxp FATAL: Error inserting wctdm24xxp (/lib/modules/2.6.22-gentoo-r9/misc/wctdm24xxp.ko): Unknown symbol

Server was working fine, then it lost power, now I get this

modprobe wctdm24xxp

FATAL: Error inserting wctdm24xxp
(/lib/modules/2.6.22-gentoo-r9/misc/wctdm24xxp.ko):
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see
dmesg)

And I have no ability to receive calls in or calls out.

It was all working fine before this, it was a complete install. I have no idea what’s going on.

Edit: So I went to the “Other” tab in FreePBX, simply changed the ‘module’ field. restarted the server. Went back to FreePBX, clicked “Install chan_dahdi.conf”, restarted only asterisk… then it worked.

I don’t know what happened, I don’t know that it was really “solved”. I’m using a different kernel module now, I feel like I should have had to do or change more to change the module, but… there it is. We have calls now.
