Modifying asterisk database

Hi,
I recently installed isymphony 3 and have very high cpu load when running the service (90% - 100%).
On their site they are suggesting i will need to index the uniqueid column in the Asterisk CDR database table.

Is this save to do it ?.Will i ruin my freepbx installation by doing this or will this cause any other issues ?.

No, it wont’t disturb any of Asterisk/FreePBX’ underlying systems.
