Asterisk 13.13.1

I found a large number of messages in /var/log/asterisk/full similar to the following:

[2017-02-01 15:21:27] ERROR[2024] sounds_index.c: Failed to stat /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/areminder-reschedule.wav

Investigating further I discover this:

find / -name areminder-reschedule.wav

And then:

# These exist
# ls -l /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/en/areminder-reschedule.wav
lrwxrwxrwx 1 asterisk asterisk 72 Nov 26 16:52 /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/en/areminder-reschedule.wav -> /var/www/html/admin/modules/areminder/sounds/en/areminder-reschedule.wav

# ls -l /var/www/html/admin/modules/areminder/sounds/en/areminder-reschedule.wav
-rw-rw-r-- 1 asterisk asterisk 22852 Jan 18 16:21 /var/www/html/admin/modules/areminder/sounds/en/areminder-reschedule.wav

# This does not
# ls -l /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/areminder-reschedule.wav
lrwxrwxrwx 1 asterisk asterisk 69 May 28  2013 /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/areminder-reschedule.wav -> /var/www/html/admin/modules/areminder/sounds/areminder-reschedule.wav

There a large number of other similar dead end soft links in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/. Are these holdovers from Asterisk 11? Should they be left alone or be removed?

I believe “fwconsole chown” will clean these all up.

I think there’s a different fwconsole command to get rid of all of your orphan links. Run “fwconsole help” and check for a “clean” command.

I’m working from memory here. Try the “fwconsole chown” first and then check for more explicit commands.
