Using freePBX 2.2.0rc1, I had some problem adding a Generic Zap Device extension.
freePBX kept giving an “Please enter a valid Outbound CID” meesage box when I tried to save, even though I had a perfectly valid Outbound CID.
The problem was an invalid character in the Display Name field - it doesn’t like pound signs…
The developers may want to add a seperate, more accurate warning when the Display Name field isn’t acceptable.
