Would the more experienced amongst us be able to advise if it is possible to successfully revert back to the Extension Mode from User Device Mode?
Is there any advice in doing this ?

I too wish to switch back to just user mode. How can this be done? Is it as simple as just changing it in the settings and updating the phones to use the users credentials instead of the device?
Yes, you just change it in Advanced Settings and then apply it - then go to the dashboard and correct any errors that have appeared - such as routing to a user instead of an extension.
However, if you don’t want to bother, just do a STATIC assignment of the users to the extensions and you can leave it as is.
It’s not critical to do it at all - but if you want to switch, go for it.
