Maximum number of voip channel

what is the maximum number of channel that i can configure in sip trunk
Can i configure 1000 channel ?

VoIP channels in SIP trunks are a marketing/commercial construct used by service providers. SIP has no concept of such entities. You would have to ask the service provider.

Any limits in Asterisk would be on total active channels rather than potential channels, but they would be in terms of exceeding CPU capacity, network bandwidth or file descriptor or process table slot limits on the system. Memory might also be an issue.

I think the most likely resources to run out would be CPU power and file descriptors.

Some parts of Asterisk at least used to be limited to 1024 file descriptors, but that may have changed. I think that was the parked call handling. Each active channel requires around five file descriptors.
