Trying to find where I can change the beep/tone recording to a louder beep/tone sound file recording I uploaded. It needs to go after Allison saying to leave a message after the tone.
The beep is in e.g. /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/en/beep.ulaw (replace en with your language and ulaw with your codec). Increase level and/or duration as desired.
However, IMO voicemail instructions should have gone away 20 years ago. They just waste the caller’s time, and if you have metered incoming such as toll-free, they run up your bill. Consider disabling the instructions.
