Is there a way to limit the number of inbound calls? Most of our locations have 4 analog lines and I would like to limit the number of inbound calls to 3 that way our reps will always have 1 line to call out on for business purposes or emergencies. I know I can limit the number of callers in a queue but I don’t see a way to limit the number of inbound calls so that when 3 inbound callers are in the system the 4th caller will get a busy signal.
First, you have to have TELCO take the 4th line out of the hunt group. Configure your trunks and inbound lines to only use the first three lines. You should be able to leave the outbound Trunks/routing alone.
