Latest 32bit USB distro not working?

Thanks for moving the thread.

OK so it appears the md5sum being created for USB is not correct. This will be fixed next week but rest assure I just did 2 installs of both 5.211.65 and 6.12.65 latest and they both worked fine on my Atom machines

Thank you very much. To have the MD5 checksums match would eliminate a distraction.

I used dd to write FreePBX-5.211.65-8-i386-Full-139496981.img and got the same “BOOT ERROR” as reported in this thread.

I will try the latest, FreePBX-5.211.65-10-i386-Full-1396481127.img

Now I’m at the BOOT ERROR the original poster experienced.

I’ve downloaded FreePBX-5.211.65-11-i386-Full-1397004435.img. The MD5 matches. I’ve written it to a USB drive with dd. When I “dd if=/dev/sdb count=3072000 | md5sum”, the result matches.

I’ve got a Dell PowerEdge SC1425, dual XEON 2.8Ghz, 5GB RAM.

Does anybody have any ideas? DVD not an option.

Same issue. I tried all kinds of things. I get “Boot Error” . THis is on an atom computer. I’m using the 686 image.

what size is your usb drive

“fdisk -l” shows 4009 MB.

usb stick is 2gb.

I was never able to get past “boot error” on my system (Intel Atom MB, don’t recall which one at the moment) with many different USB sticks.

Finally just downloaded the full ISO and built from a USB CD/DVD and that worked fine.

After many checks, I found it’s something related to bios/motherboard vs usbstick bootloader/mbr
MD5 never matches anyway, it only does on .iso
There is no rule, a particular usbpen distro works on some machines but “boot error” on other, as well another distro works ok on the machine where the previous distro fails
It’s pretty hard to reconduce to the problem…
For the moment you’ll need to burn a cd with .iso image

The iso’s are all over 800K, so they look like they won’t fit on a CD. My machine is a 1U server and doesn’t have any normal power connectors to even hang a DVD drive on it. I don’t have any external USB optical drives and I don’t really want to buy a bunch for my phone systems.

Thankfully, I use old PC’s as diskless thinclients, so I already have a PXE boot infrastructure. I converted the DVD install into a PXE install. I haven’t completely verified I made necessary changes, but it looks good.

I just verified the img file FreePBX-5.211.65-11-x86_64-Full-1397077579.img from

http://downloads.freepbxdistro.org/ISO/FreePBX-5.211.65-11-x86_64-Full-1397077579.img

The md5sums which were previously being mis-calculated are now properly working:

There is a ticket in to modify the UI at http://schmoozecom.com/distro-download.php to make sure each option has its corresponding checksum file.

Excellent!

Thank you for verifying the checksum on the 64 bit version.

Adding a MD5 checksum button for each of the flash drive image options is an great idea.
