Kernel Messages about Hard Drive?

I enabled logwatch on my server. I noticed the following messages in the logwatch email :

Is this indicative of a hard drive failure?

Although it could also be caused by a bad cable or even a very buggy controller driver.

So try checking/replacing/re-seating your cables first and then perhaps download a diagnostic utility and give the drive a full test.

Make sure you have a decent backup first! If it is a faulty drive this (or even just re-powering it) could push it over the edge.
