Thanks for your answers. One more question here, please. We have a Cisco CUCM 11.5 behind this FreePBX, actually FreePBX has a function of an Edge FreePBX which connects to a provider and CUCM has a company phones connected to it. There is a SIP trunk between CUCM and FreePBX. If we, say, upgrade FreePBX and decide to use PJSIP, then we need to upgrade and reconfigure this SIP trunk to a PJSIP too, don’t we? If so, is there an option for CUCM 11.5 to upgrade trunk to PJSIP?
And one more question, are there any resources or manuals, or books to read more about all these PJSIP configurations and theory?
PJSIP is a library that provides a SIP interface. The change in Asterisk that FreePBX uses was from chan_sip to chan_pjsip. So, you’ll still use SIP to talk to your endpoints, even with chan_pjsip.
