i installed asterisk in my office, i have problems with dial tone during internal calls. External call works fine (we hear italian dial tone).
I modified language = it and zone = it in every file under /etc/asterisk, /etc/dahdi and indications.conf is incorrect.
What is wrong ??
Unlike older analog systems, the dial tone is not generated in the switch, but in the phone itself. You’ll need to look at the phone docs to determine what dialtones are supported and how to access them.

Bill thanks for you response but why external call work fine ??
I modified all tone in my VoIP phone Grandstram 2100 and italian tone work only for external calls. I didn’t found setting for external or internal.
