I have been experimenting with FreePBX for a while now, but there is one thing that just doesn’t seem to work, namely a proper greeting.
My intention is that when someone calls my number, he gets a greeting in the form of “good morning / good afternoon / good evening / good night, welcome to family x”.
I thought I could do this by recording 5 “system recordings”:
- Good morning
- Good afternoon
- Good evening
- Good night
- Welcome to family x
Then link these 5 system recordings to 5 announcements with the same name. For Good morning / Good afternoon / Good evening / Good night, the recording “Welcome to family x” is then listed under “destination”.
Then I created Time groups and connected them to Time Conditions:
- 7am till 11.59am : good morning
- 12am till 4:59pm : good afternoon
- 5pm till 9:59pm : good evening
- 10pm till 6:59am : good night
The inbound route now says “Time Condition : good morning”. If that is correct, play “good morning”, followed by “welcome to family x”. If that time condition fails : play “good afternoon” etc.
What do I do wrong? When I call the DID I don’t get any announcement, just my extension that rings…
I’ve made a lot of screenshots, and uploaded them to my Google photos : https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ad9v2HnM5ZqAd3wb7
Someone that can help me out with this?
