Issues with sending fax out hylafax and iaxmodem

I already have FREEPBX running with live extensions. Would be a little bit of a pain to get it moved over to PBIAF

did the show peer on the fax extension and it stayed saying status ok when the modem was sending but nothing happened in the command line.

Don’t know if this helps but i enabled iax2debug on the iaxmodem and tried dialing and i see a bunch of retries.

Check your configuration files in var/spool/hylafax/etc and/etc/iaxmodem modem you are trying to send to 0.0.0.0

dicko thanks for your help. I fixed the problem. I don’t think you would belive what the problem was i did’t. i stumbled upon this german forum looking for the 0.0.0.0 issue and translated it. At the end of the 2nd page the person stated the whole issue was caused by having an ‘@’ symbol in the password. I had an ‘@’ symbol in my password and i removed it now everything works as it should. I would believe that, esoteric but linux has some "reserverd characters like -@/. etc, never use them unless escaped and even then never use them
