Issues with Dahdi

I have looked through the forums and can’t seem to find anything to help with this issue. Problem I am having is that when I just boot the server it seems to start up just fine and all the Dahdi settings are loaded properly. All of the config is proper. However when I do an amportal restart, the dahdi_cfg fails with:

DAHDI_SPANCONFIG failed on Span 1: No such device or address (6)

I am not sure why it fails with amportal restart but works just fine if I reboot the machine. Thanks ahead of time!

Too few informations to help you (which software version of FreePBX Distro you’re using? which hardware configuration you have? which version of DAHDi Config you have?).

Try the post the result of lspci and lsdahdi command to see which type of PCI devices are installed in your system.

Probably it’s an issue that can be fixed by carefully examining which module was loaded for your (PSTN) PCI Card (which could be recognized by you examining the output of lspci command stated above).

Davide.

I apologize. I wasn’t sure what all would be needed so I chose to wait until I got a response to find out exactly what information was needed. I just recently installed FreePBX Distro 2.210.62-6 running Asterisk 1.8. Dahdi config is 2.10.22.

Any ideas?

I still do not have a solution to this problem. Is anyone able to help?

Hi i had these problem yesterday, checking with the Digium support, we have even a an error loading the module, checking the logs, we change the /etc/modprobe.d/dahdi.conf information (The freepbx rewrite and works but the nexxt day that reboot the pbx don’t work), the correct information is:
options wcte12xp default_linemode=e1
Freepbx write in my case: options wcte12xp defaultline_mode=e1 and that was the problem.

I hope that info can help you in something, best regards

I have just fixed this issue in the repo. Expect the fix to be out in the next couple of days. Please report a bug to us next time. Thanks

Updating the module through module admin. Once I push it out you will see the change listed (I havent pushed it out yet)

Hi Andrew in these case, is only to update the module of DAHDI via the web GUI, or is necesary update the core? Best regards

I did the update as stated through the module admin but it still continues to give the same error when the “amportal restart” command is given.
