Issue with updating vpn config on Yealink phones

We use the built in openvpn server for all of our yealink phones. We have noticed that the only way to update the vpn config on the phones is by either manually logging in to the phone and uploading the config or factory defaulting the phone and provisioning it again. Is there any way to be able to provision the vpn config with endpoint manager once a phone already has an active vpn config?

I used 4-5 years ago Yealink P21E phones with EPM Login/Logout and VPN access was working.
