I want to set up the IP Phone through WAN connect the FreePBX.
I already set up the FreePBX and I confirmed I can use local LAN for Phone IN/Out. when I changed the setting of IP Phone through WAN and Port Number 5060, it also can phone IN / Out, but I can’t hear the voice, whatever IP Phone or Mobile Phone. Please help to find the problem. Thanks
The preferred solution, in such cases, is to use VPN, and push the problem onto that.
Where on the path does NAT occur? What have you configured in NAT routers and firewalls to ensure that the media can traverse them? Have you configured Asterisk to know its public media and signalling addresses? Have you done the same for the phone? Is it even possible to do that for the phone?
