IP Peering

Hi,
I want to know how to do IP address peering between 2 pbx servers(end point configuration)
Can some one help me out?

I have been playing with this myself… I have Asterisk 1.4 and FreePBX… They way I made is work:

  1. Create appropriate account in sip.conf and trunk setup
  2. I used “type=friend” on both ends
  3. You need to use “fromdomain=xx.xx.xx.xx”
  4. In some cases you might need to use “fromuser=xxxxxx” but then there might be an issue with caller id number…
  5. Play with it… best way, type in the account info in Excel - easier to see mistakes.
