I checked in SipStation but the only DID’s they offer numbers in the US and Canada. My LEC can do it but it will take several weeks to setup and a long term contract. I need a number in London that attaches to my FreePBX for a short period of time either by forwarding or direct SIP attachment. Any one have any ideas of a service that can provide this?

Since someone already listed the usual aggregators like Twilio and VoIP.ms, I’d suggest Gradwell. They are a native UK carrier, so you get better routing for a London 020 number than you might with a US-based provider. They offer monthly rolling contracts and can usually have a SIP trunk live in about 48 hours—definitely beats waiting weeks for an LEC.

Unfortunately, fraud is rampant in this business, so they won’t set you up until they are convinced you are legit. They may ask for a copy of your photo ID and/or a copy of the credit card you are using. If you’re lucky, just an hour or two. But the weekend is coming up so you may have to wait until Monday.
I know nothing about Gradwell, but IMO it’s likely they will be similarly sticky about your identity.
