Intercom to Ring switching

It appears with FreePBX when you dial an internal extension it can either Ring or set to Auto-answer via intercom. Our legacy NEC system would default to intercom, however if you wanted you could just dial a “1” while the call was active intercom and it would switch from intercom to ringing the phone. Is that possible with FreePBX?

Not exactly, but the opposite should be.

If you want to call an extension, you dial it. There’s a Feature Code for dialing the Intercom for an extension.

Thanks Dave, It’s a minor thing I probably just won’t worry about it. I’m just going over the old system compared to FreePBX to see what the differences would be. Thanks for the reply.
