OK i configured the custom ext when I dialing 775 it connects to the simplex paging system and you can hear the annoucements. However, when I add extension 775 to the paging group, it doesn’t work.
OK, do a test page that is for intended use and have your logging running, then share your logs as you did before. Just telling me it does not work, doesn’t give us much to work with. I suspect the page may be prefixing the call with *80. But I could be wrong.
How many endpoints are in this page group you are hoping to build?
I will have to do this tomorrow morning when no one is here yet. the event viewer on the machine is tossing out thousands of lines. Also the pager group only has 13 end points and the 775 extention
I am just realizing your Grandstream has registration for both FXS and FXO.
Are both of those hooked up to the SIMPLEX unit?
Assuming your FXO is your trunk and the FXS is “6500” as an extension
if the simplex unit has another port it expects a paging phone to connect directly into it, I think that could just be put that extension into the page group.
From there you would just put the 13 phone extension as well as “6500” making it 14 total extensions in the page group.
Another item to test if you can, if you dial *80775
does it do a page?
The fxs port doesn’t auto answer it will just keep on ringing if i call 6500
