Increasing the speed of retrieve_conf

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has tips on increasing the speed of retrieve_conf. We have seen an increase in load times since we cross the 250 extension mark (there was some before - but it is now in the mins of loading time)

We currently have 316 extensions. Any ideas ?

Thanks !

It would be very helpful to know the specs of the machine you are using?

processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 45
model name : Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2603 0 @ 1.80GHz
stepping : 7
cpu MHz : 1200.000
cache size : 10240 KB
physical id : 0
siblings : 4
core id : 0
cpu cores : 4
apicid : 0
initial apicid : 0
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : 13

This is running CentOS 6.4 (Final). The distro is AsteriskNow v3

Thanks

It is good to know the CPU specs but we need other info too. Memory. Disk info?

Memory 8gig
Disk - Software RAID 1 of 2x1 TB SATA disks

Disks reach no higher than 35% during a rebuild (according to iostat - with normal call processing as well - some calls are recorded)

Anything else, just ask

That is a very capable system.

Is the load time causing call processing problems?

What is the issue other than the time it takes the system to rebuild the configs for 316 extensions?

From a call processing stand point is the system performing as required?

Hi,

Yip - it’s just the reload time - sitting there waiting for it to finish what it is doing.

Call processing everything is working as expected
