we would like to show our agents an internal customer overview page from form our PHP based CRM.
- Would you recommend that the asterisk calls our CRM’s API or
- Would you recommend that the FreePBX calls our CRM’s API?
We plan to integrate our CRM even further with our Asterisk/FreePBX. Would you in general recommend to rather connect deeper into Asterisk or into FreePBX?
I do prefer not to user the commercial CRM module for FreePBX for a couple other reasons.

I’d probably start with the TigerCRM Asterisk module (source code is available) to give you some ideas on how to start.
These end up being the same thing. FreePBX uses Asterisk.

Yeah - there are other CRM packages that interface with Asterisk as well, so you might want to look at some of them as well.
