Inbound problem. Probably a routing problem coz the inbounds are logged!

Hello all of you :slight_smile:

I just installed a Trisbox in a VM.
The networking is ok coz my outbound nymbers are working. (will explain)

I created my extension. It is 201.
I created a Direct DID for this extension.
I put a SIP alias as 201
the Direct DID is equal to the INBOUND phone number.
1st question: Should I put the coutry code? (+1, +33, +44…)
I field the secret
I disabled the voicemail and the fax.
Nothing fancy!

In general settings I allow anonymous calls.

In Outbound Routes I choose the default “0 9_outside” in which I add my Trunk VOipbuster

In Trunks, I do not touch ZAP and I add a SIP one: Voipbuster.
I leave all the fields as default exept
PEER DETAILS:
allow=ulaw&alaw
fromdomain=sip.voipbuster.com
host=sip.voipbuster.com
insecure=very
nat=yes
qualify=yes
username=username
authuser=username
fromuser=username
secret=password
srvlookup=yes
type=peer

INBOUND Details:
User context: my ID (not my incoming phone number)
then i put in the field:
secret=password
type=user
context=from-trunk

and my registration:
[email protected]

I am now struggling for to days to get an inbound call!!!

I use Xlite as a soft.

Each time I call, i get the late saying that "this user is currently not online"
The worst is that I can see that the call is Logged. So the trixbox gets it. It is probably a forward problem…

Please could one of you help me.

Nic

PS: If you need more info, then tell me… i will give it.

Try tweaking your PEER details and registration

PEER
allow=alaw&ulaw&gsm
context=from-pstn
disallow=all
dtmfmode=inband
fromdomain=sip1.voipbuster.com
fromuser=your username
host=sip1.voipbuster.com
insecure=very
nat=yes
qualify=yes
secret=your password
srvlookup=yes
type=friend
username=your username

UserDetails
context=from-pstn
fromdomain=sip1.voipbuster.com
host=sip1.voipbuster.com
insecure=very
secret=your password
type=user
username=your user id

Registration String
[email protected]/username

Hi experts!

I did a lot of change on my Trunks details and in my config… but no change.

Could I call a voipbuster user to ask him his config… I am still struggling with the inbound !

Please help me.

Nic

Hi and thanks for your tips… I tried them.
But I have a question: if the incoming number is hitting my box why should I touch the PEER? it should mean that it is ok no??

I also found other details on this website:
http://www.freepbx.org/support/documentation/howtos/howto-setting-up-voip-provider-trunks/voip-buster

I also tried them with no luck…

I am lost now :frowning:

Post the log from when the call hits your box.
