Inbound and outbound issue with Rhino RCB4FXO

This is a brand new card, im trying to setup the system with VERIZON lines.

here is my system info:

PBX in a Flash Version = 1.7.5.7 Running on HARDWARE
│ FreePBX Version = 2.9.0.12 │
│ Running Asterisk Version = 1.4.43 │
│ Asterisk Source Version = 1.4.43 │
│ Dahdi Source Version = 2.5.0.2+2.5.0.2 │
│ Libpri Source Version = 1.4.12 │
│ Addons Source Version = 1.4.13 │

Inbound Issue:

i was able to set the channels from-zaptel and configure the card, the card seems to be working the dadhi show channels shows the 4 fxo channels all of them says from-zaptel. but i get one way audio for inbound calls, i can hear the callers but the callers can’t hear me.

Outbound Issue:

for outbound i have setup all patterns, Called VERIZON and they says that this lines are in a centrex platform I add the 9 for outsite in the trunk and nothing, I see at the CLI that the calls is taking the Dahdi channels and it is been answered but i got “the call can not be complete as dial” FROM VERIZON not from the Asterisk. I created patterns to prepend/prefix the area code and nothing.

Here is my chan_dahdi.conf:

in freePBX i have the settings “Convert ZAP Settings to DAHDi” enable.

The dahdi_tool shows everything ok

They have a really old sprint system, that is working fine, i press a line and can make outbound calls using just the 7 number or the 11 numbers.

Thank you in advance.

Rhino provides very good free phone support for their products.

In regards to the outbound call issue, you probably need to put a slight pause after you dial the 9.

If you hover your cursor over the label "Outbound Dial Prefix: " you will see the following.

The outbound dialing prefix is used to prefix a dialing string to all outbound calls placed on this trunk. For example, if this trunk is behind another PBX or is a Centrex line, then you would put 9 here to access an outbound line. Another common use is to prefix calls with ‘w’ on a POTS line that need time to obtain dial tone to avoid eating digits.

Most users should leave this option blank.

Thanks Alan,

I contacted them and they want me to comment or delete the echocancel line from /etc/dahdi/system.conf
That should fix the inbound one way audio.

For outbound i will try the “w” option maybe that help, they have really old pots line. I will also contact verizon again to get more info on the lines.

Thanks again…

Hey alan,

can i use “9w” as the Outbound Dial Prefix? these lines also need to dial the 9(centrex system) or i guest i can add the 9 at the outbound route if it is not possible to have “9w” or “9ww”.

Thanks

yes. I would start with 9w. Increase the number of w if needed.
