IMAP Voicemail - Store local copy

I am using FreePBX with the IMAP Voicemail to an Exchange 2010 server. I am dropping vmails into user’s inbox to a folder called Voicemail. I ran into an issue where a user moved this Voicemail folder in his Inbox into a subfolder and thus Asterisk was not able to deliver the voicemail messages for this user.

Is there any way that Asterisk can store a local copy of the Voicemail in conjunction with using IMAP Voicemail?

Nope and that is why I never recommend using IMAP with asterisk. If Asterisk looses connection to your IMAP server than voicemails break as their is no local storage option.
