How to provide a caller the option to be recorded?

Does anyone know if FreePBX offers the feature whereby you can provide a caller with the options Press 1) to record the phone call (for training purposes) or Press 2) not to record (still allowing them to call in but without being recorded).

Apologies if this has been asked already, I cannot find it in the forum.

Thank you in advance!
Paul.

On the surface, this sounds simple. Inbound route>IVR>Option1>Call Recording>Destination. Inbound route>IVR>Option2>Destination.

Or you can use the “**” option for real-time call recording.

Or you can set the line to always record and let the caller opt-out using the “*1” dial code once in the call.

Note - your Feature Code page will actually give you the codes you want for your PBX. YKMV (Your Keypresses May Vary).

Thank you very much Dustin and cynjut!! Your help is very much appreciated

I will look into these options and liaise with management to see how they want this implemented. I saw a Youtube video which also gave me a good idea of actually noting this process down in a flow chart diagram to help get the process right.

I’ll let you know how it goes, thanks again both,
Paul.
