How do I set the encoding in FreePBX?

Example: g.711 or g.729 (license required for g.729)

In the Extension

Disallow=all
Allow=G729, GSM

What is GSM? Do I need ulaw(g711) in there?

If you Disallow all, you need to list which ever Codec’s you are going to Allow.
